Giving to our charity
Financial contributions to Wickham CLT are always welcomed. Our trustees and volunteers are unpaid so there are no direct administration costs. However, we incur expense whenever we employ specialists for property maintenance and legal services, for example.
WCLT homes are offered to local people at rates that are below those of the open market. These homes are for local individuals or perhaps local families of limited means, who either cannot afford private sector rents or do not score highly for points on social housing schemes.
WCLT has always depended on grants and donations from several supporters to make it financially possible to continue our charity's work. So far, that has increased the opportunities for local families to benefit from our affordable homes.

Give As You Shop
As another option, you can benefit us, whenever you purchase items online, by using the free service provided by
the Easyfunding organisation.
They give us a small fee, funded by the household name brands that you buy from, for every transaction.
This service is funded by the selling brands and therefore costs you nothing.

Friends of WCLT
As we continue to grow and deliver more affordable homes for local
people, we want to engage regularly and effectively with the community
we serve.
The Trust needs strong local support to deliver good quality
affordable homes for local people who would otherwise have to leave
Wickham and its neighbourhood.
If you are interested in supporting us, please become a Friend of Wickham Community Land Trust (FoWCLT). You can do so by completing and returning the form printed in our brochure or by downloading it from here. There is no joining fee as we are keen that no one should be excluded. However, if you feel able to make a donation (we ask a minimum of £10.00 per person) it will be gratefully received and used directly to support our affordable homes programme. A report of FoWCLT income and expenditures will be published annually.
By becoming a Friend, you will receive regular updates of our progress. There will be invitations to events where you can meet the trustees and fellow Friends socially. You will hear more about the ongoing work of the Trust providing community-based affordable housing and services.
We hope to introduce other unique benefits that you can enjoy as a Friend. We will reveal details as they become available.

A Legacy In Your Will
One way you might consider supporting us is through a legacy in your will. Should
you decide to adopt this suggestion, your gift will be used for the sole
purpose of purchasing and maintaining affordable housing near Wickham
for local people who would otherwise have to leave the area to seek cheaper
housing elsewhere.
In your will, you can pledge to help us continuing to provide affordable housing for local people. If living locally is important to you, consider the future generations of your family by making a gift to Wickham Community Land Trust.
